Found myself a shelf piece!
This has been in the local classifieds for a week.. Nobody wanted it. I really have no bike to hang it on, or have the money to acquire the rest of the group. But for $40, I though it's a good conversation piece and way better than a vase. My wife thinks I'm crazy.
Shame about the scuff marks, I know.. But it's in otherwise very good condition. The owner said he replaced it soon after the first ride with a 172.5mm (it's a 170). He also mentioned he sold his Pinarello Treviso, with a complete century group, to his friend for $300.
Okay, so what do I need to know about the century group? I need to convince the wife it's an awesome piece of cycling history!

Very nice! It's a C-Record, right? I think Century refers to the grey finish.

I had one, put thousands of miles on it, gotta be one of the most beautiful ever
quirks of gruppo- the indexing shifters had different indent inserts for different freewheels to make "everyone
happy" but campy gave it up for 'their own" kinda "iffy"
the "delta" brakes HAVE to be adjusted with lots of clearance brake pad to rim to work right,
I can't remember exactly, but 3 to 5 mm range each side
