Nice frame! I would say it is new than 84. I have an 83 with significantly different configuration, chainstay bridge, flat seat stay caps, unmarked brake block on stays, different fork crown, braze on cable holders on the top tube, different BB, different graphics.

Not an expert on Colnago's but I think Superissimo's had chrome head lugs like yours.

Thanks for the reply. The 84-85 is just a guess. I wouldn't think the FD braze on would be much earlier than that. There are pictures of an "86" and an "88" on the web and they're different too. The other thing is this is a European bike, from Belgium, and I think many times European Colnagos were different from what was sold in the US. Ed

I think almost every bike is different in the US than in Europe.
Great looking frame!

I've argues time and again with people on the web. They are experts but only on what made it to the US. If you look at German EBay you'll see all kinds of bikes that never made across yhe pond. It must have been a very big market for Colnago there are Sports,Exports,Internationals,Juniors,Victories, and Professionals to name a few. Ed

I would prefer an early "70's" pre "73'. But at that price I couldn't pass it up. Ed
