Flea Market Find

Couldn't resist posting my latest find. 1968 Racer. Photos show bike as found. 3 speed works well, wheels are straight/shiny, paint excellent. Took it on a short 2 mile ride and everything works as it should. Seat not original, but better than those awful s seats. I needed a large frame and they are a bit hard to find.

Nice pick up of a good clean bike. Make sure you overhaul the bearings before you ride it very far.

Very nice find! What is the frame size? I ride tall frames and they are all but impossible to find in that style of bike.

23" frame size...they are hard to find at least in my area. And I got it at a great price. Roger on the grease....just wanted to take a short ride to see if it had any problems. It's built like a tank and weighs almost as much, but once you get going it's not so bad on level ground. And the Schwinn chrome is really something. I enjoy the heck out of riding something that's over 40 years old and still works like new.

Very cool! I've got a '67 racer deluxe in green! FYI in my experience, the stock Schwinn seat was quite comfortable.
