What is this engraving? NR seatpost

The milling is very nice, but the compass-like engravings are crude. Do they mean something, refer to a brand maybe?

Never mind the compass, I don't lile the way the flutes cuts into the Campagnolo brand engraving. at the top of the post shafts.

OK, and I hate esoterics... Thought there might be a small chance that it was bike-related. The good thing is probably that its supernatural powers are still in working order, since it came grotesquely attached to an MX-leader .

Yes, it was the Kessels "logo". It was on some fork crowns and also engraved on some stems and posts like you have. Seeing that you are in Belgium, I would say that it is in the right place!

Wonder if he actually was a Free Mason, compass, sun... He probably just liked the estetics, controversy didn't help your business in catholic Flanders in the 70ies.
