Garage Sale Find (Handbuilt content)

Happened to be browsing the Garage Sale listings on the List of Craig. Came across one that was selling a "custom bike". I sent the guy an email asking what kind it was and found this....

She needs to be cleaned up and de-modernized. I plan to put an alloy seatpost, traditional quill stem/bars etc on her and clean her up. Rides great! I'm sending Bill an email to find out the year, model, tubing.

Fantastic find, I would leave it alone, fix the RD cable and ride it.

Not the cheapest garage sale bike but certainly worth the money.
Only paid $100 more than what a mid level mass produced 12 speed goes for in my local market.

You got your money's worth, dude - a fantastic frame! I'm guessing late 70s or early 80s; the head tube decal is definitely of that time period.

The PO sure took good care of that...

De-modernize at your earliest convenience.

At least put a quill on there.

The look of an adaptor is not to my tastes.

That's a very sweet bicycle.

She definitely has a butter face (everything but-her-face ;P ).

I plan to make her look sexy again in a few weeks.

Well done.

She's got tons of charm.

I agree with Aaron, that paint finish is brilliant.

Btw You sure find some nice bikes.
