HG and Uniglide link spacing

Hi folks,

I'm just looking for confirmation that I understand chains correctly. I understand that there are different widths, as there is a lot of discussion about that.

But are the spacings between the chain pins the same for HG and uniglide systems? That is, a rear Uniglide cassette can work with modern front chainrings as long as I get the correct width to function with both, but no concern of the wrong distance between pins of each link?

Thanks in advance.

All modern bike chains use 1/2" pitch, but the width may vary depending on the specific application.
