Cool 3 speed Cruiser I found (RBC Sun Fox)
Picked this up for my girlfriend yesterday. She wanted something comfortable and cheap to ride for errands so she didn't have to worry about her expensive bike getting stolen.
I've never heard of the brand before but I think it's a pretty neat bike. A RBC (Ret Bicycle Company) Sun Fox cruiser with an S3C coaster brake 3 speed hub. Date stamp is 81. Anybody ever seen one before? I didn't find much on a BF search either.

The history link should say it all, but Ret Bar Company (RBC) was a local Arizona Company (Peoria, Sun City). The founder (Richard E. Thomson, I believe, RET) initially sold kits to convert old Schwinn bicycles to trikes. Then, the company mainly made "adult cycles". Time span of manufacture late 1970's-early 1980's. I have not found anything like catalogs or specs, but I have owned 4 RetBars, still have 3, and I guarantee the fork, head decal are authentic for the brand. The ones I have seen all have the heavy duty pipe frame, and tend to use stock components for seats, hubs, pedals etc.

My '79 Raleigh Sports has a SA S3C hub also. I like it well enough, although I've read that it's not as robust a coaster brake as it could be. Mine has a 20T cog, which makes peddling a joy for me. Can't say I've ever heard of a RET brand bike. Interesting history!

This cropped up on the local CL, I was looking for info. I'm guessing it's BSO quality but the pics don't show for sure.
