My 1963 Schwinn Superior
It's been a while since I've posted here; many home remo projects that according to the wife are far more important than "that damn old bike". Anyway, I've greased/cleaned everything, located some missing parts and replaced the tires and tubes. All that's really left is to recable the two brakesets and the two derailleurs. This winter I suppose! Oh, and locate the proper Atom pedals!

Well, with the exception of the original Atom pedals, I think she's just about done. I have located the pedals and will go over and install them soon. Here she is after her recent 5 mile maiden voyage:

skydog, that looks mighty fine to my eye! Are you thinking about a set of fenders for the bike? I think fenders would dress that bike up nicely.

Sweet looking Schwinn Skydog.
Personally I kind'a prefer it as it is, without fenders. (Except for the brake housing loop-d-doop at the seat clincher: Do your brakes a favor and shorten it up a little!)

I know, right! When I was matching up the new one to the factory original, I had a case of the "sliding thumb" where I matched it up and then inched my thumb up a couple of times. I don't know why I do that. The shifter cables suffered the same fate.
