Picked up my "new" Trek 510 from FedEx this evening. Alas, the front wheel was damaged, so I won't be riding it to work tomorrow. The wheel wasn't anything special, but I'll be looking for a replacement rim (or wheel).

A VERY well packed set of Sugino Mighty "Competition" cranks from Frogbutter. They're prettier than the bike they're going on, hehe. Thanks! They got here fast! Sorry I can't say the same for my Cannondale SM600 fork that "was" on it's way from the UK. It's been in route for ELEVEN days, and has been in Chicago since Sunday. Customs I guess? I do not have good pictures of all of it yet...as I kept most of it wrapped up...until I start the deconstruction and reconstruction! Yes, wallet is a good bit lighter...and it took over a month to get it shipped here from Spain...but...they arrived...yes, yesterday...but I could not find this thread last night!

I've been attempting to maximize the dissonance of the drivetrain of my current project. I just got a SRAM X5 FD that I was going to use with the Exage crankset and Athena triple shifters, but since I ordered it, I changed the crank for a mid-00's Truvativ Elita, and I'm guessing it won't work with 53-39-30.

@daf1009: That's a nice c-record group. Shame about the tear in the brake hood. In one of my clumsy maneuvers, I closed the rear hatch of my SUV onto my Campagnolo brake lever and tore the hood at the top. Just a small 2cm tear. In order to inhibit spreading of the tear, I glued it with super glue. I didn't have high expectations, but it's done its job for the past 6 months, and you wouldn't know the hood is torn unless you look closely. Might be worth trying in your case, too--at least as a temporary measure if you must have new hood$. Maybe even a couple extra drops between the inside of the hood and the lever body to keep the hood from opening up further. Just a thought...

sapim double butted spokes from danscomp for a new build using ofmega (32h) and record (36h) hubs with sun m13ii polished 700c rims (from niagara).
i kind of like getting the danscomp circular in the mail even though i only buy its spokes for road bikes. they have a decent selection of vans and adidas sneakers.

It's a Black Mountain Cycles cross frameset that we are building for a buddy.
He's joining us on our annual "St. Paul to Ely" ride this summer.
This year it features 107 miles of gravel roads out in the middle of nowhere.
Should be a great build on the BMC using mostly Shimano XT.

Kool Stop salmon old style brake pad inserts for my Raleigh Sports
A bottle of 5/32" bearing balls to overhaul the pedals on the Raleigh
Kool Stop Mountain salmon brake pads for my cargo bike (the existing posts were so corroded by weather that I mangled them all up trying to adjust the position)
And I have a 25.4mm alloy seat post in the mail to hopefully swap out the very short stock post on the Raleigh and get better leg extension on a frame that is a bit too small for me.

I had heard that Mach 2's held true through tough conditions, but this still impressed me. Someone with talent made this wheelset. Came with original DA skewers and one Conti Giro tubular glued but in unused condition. Screaming deal.
