My very first Celeste....a Bianchi Trofeo!

Hi friends, I obtained this Trofeo, but it came without any post or saddle, as well as no crank, pedals or chain! It was a very good deal, so I decided to take a chance. Hopefully, it won't be to much of a challenge to get on the road. I have a nice Turbo, but will be looking for the post. Pedals and crank I will have in a few days, so it won't be too much of a project. Does anyone have an idea what year it is, and the stock components? The original owner seems to have wanted a nice upgrade to SR, but was not able to complete the build. I sincerely thank you for your time and comments.

More pics coming soon! :-)

Yeah, I also don't think it's Celeste, but it's still very pretty!

That is an '87 and the coluor is Torquise and I would love to snag a Bianchi that color. Vonruden is the right the OEm cranks would have been the Bianchi Ofmegas, your changing the BB right? those cranks had a funny taper. I have a set if you want them but the extractor thread are toast. IIRC the seatpost is 27.2. I don't have access to my catalogs but the Modolos look correct. I am not sure but something tell me SR was the correct derailleurs for this since C-Rec would have been top dog, and the next bikes down would have still been pushing Victory.

PS '87 is a dead give away because of the shape and location of the world champ decal and the script model name.

If I've been informed correctly (here), the '87 had higher level components than the later/retro Trofeos.
Very nice color, celeste or not.

Thanks to all, and specially to our in house Bianchi specialist Miss Bianchigirll! I sincerely appreciate your feedback. I wouldn't know where to start on removing the BB, but thanks for the advice. :-)

P.S. I'm a collector/flipper, but mostly flipper, so I'm pretty sure you have an idea where this is going to end up. I confess, I'm not mechanically inclined, so if I do decide to keep it, I will take it to a friend that knows bikes and repairs.

Greatly appreciate everyones feedback!
