531 Reynolds vintage bike questions

Been searching for a vintage bike in my size 54cm, mostly looking for Centurion Ironman Expert or Master but NO luck.

So I wonder what is the best bargain i can get on another vintage, with 531 Reynolds instead of Tange 1 for the Centurion.

I have read that the 531 Reynolds frames are more expensive than the Tange 1 Frames, but they are similar in performance, is that true?

Looking for something with 6 or 7 gears and with 105 or 600 components.

Thank You

A lot of older Raleighs sport 531 tubing. Since they alter the models so much over time, the same model may be 531 for a period and something else in other periods, but a good number of 70s and early 80s Raleighs have 531.

A lot of the Treks from the early 80's had 531 tubing and are often very good buys in something the would be similar to the Centurions your looking at.

Not all Reynolds 531 is the same, whether single or double butted or 531C vs. 531 Professional vs. 531 Super Tourist, etc.
