Can someone identify this Fuji?
Hello all,
Found this Fuji online from a garage sale near me. Owner has no information on the bike. Can somone identify this bike, and advise if this may be worth the $10-20 I would offer to fix up?
Thanks!

Looks like an early S-5, '75. Wacky looking saddle, who makes it?

My guess is an all-steel '74-75 Special Tourer or just plain Tourer. I had bought two of them (the first being stolen), both men's 23"-framed in orange, and serial numbered just 17 apart... The cottered crank is the ID key for me. Brand new it was $129.95 list price. Heavy tank at almost 38-40 pounds. Check out classicfuji.com for catalogs by year.
Ooops, Scottyrider beat me to it. '74 S-5 catalog linky here...

Fixing it depends on whether you have the time/tools/aptitude/pile of parts to do it. Otherwise, even a free bike can be a lousy deal. Of course, you could buy it and resell it as found and make a little $$.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.

That's true. From what I can see, it's mainly rust on the outside which doesn't seem to bad to take are of. I've never fixed up a bike before so it could be a project. They also have a Murray Monterey that is in better shape. Old beach cruiser
