Just picked this up!!!

Very excited to be getting my hands on this! It should arrive late next week. The bike is near mint and the chrome is in great shape. This one is going to get Record 8 speed. If anyone has an interest in this very nice Shimano 600 three color group, 7 speed indexed, send me a PM.

I guess I can join the Tommasini Lounge now. Do they serve marguaritas in there?

Here's a small sample of all the pictures I have at the moment....

And here's a pic of the bike....

How about that bar tape!

I can live with the drizzle paint job on that Tommasini, but that bar tape is like kryptonite for splash tape non-fans...........like me. Please pity the poor bike and take it off ASAP!

Glad you picked it up.

You just bought one of the nicer SPs I've seen lately.

As you know Bob, they "applied" a little thicker splatter coat to my 1990 SP.

I really do think I like yours better though.

Just the right impact.

Can't go wrong with Record on yours btw.

I just picked up a nos differentiated Record caliper set for mine, so it's getting closer to an all Record build.

Wait till you ride her.

You are in for a treat.

Ride report before anything else.
The bar tape affects nothing on the bike.

WOW...you should be excited, that is a beauty! I love the panto around the headtube. Gorgeous chrome and, IMO, Tomassini has one of the nicest labels if any builder. GORGEOUS machine and looks like it would be aggressive.

That might be the best use of splash tape I've seen.

You know what Aaron, I agree.

That is the best use of splash tape.

But, I will go on record saying I gleefully strip it off bicycles after I buy them.

Yes, the lug work is pretty cool on these beauties.

But I am partial.

Granted, I'm a man of low breeding and questionable taste, but I'd keep the tape...it works here!

I love my Tommasini Prestige, but not as much as the Tommasini Diamanti I passed a couple of weeks ago (I was driving in the Ranger, stopped, flagged the rider down and prodeeded to BS about nice old road bikes. The Diamanti was/is stunning!
