Raleigh SC original reflectors?

When I purchased my 83' SC it had 2 reflectors on it that looked older and labeled "Cateye" I was wondering if these reflectors were original or added at some point. Both front and back reflector mount above the tire and below the brakes. The level of clearance was so small that when I put on tires with an additional kevlar layer (panracer TG) the rear reflector had to be removed because it scraped the tire. I'm pretty sure the bike came equiped with 27" tires not 700cm which would allow extra room. So were these reflectors original?
