Tim built these for me in the late 70's. Both of these are obviously in great condition and have some nice frame details. I assume they are both made from Columbus SL? |

Yes, Columbus SL. Cinelli cast BB shell and lugs. Beautiful detailing.
A fellow at the shop has a TS Isaac. So very nice. He really loves that bicycle. |

Now I'm going to have nightmares about the eight foot tall C&V enthusiast. Thanks.

Just realized I've collected the whole set of American C&V bikes of the big four materials (steel, aluminum, Ti, carbon).
Steel: Lugged: http://i.imgur.com/3ttnUl.jpg 1984 Trek 610 Tigged: http://i.imgur.com/EEsfyl.jpg 1991 Stowe criterium Aluminum (Cleaned up and has [shimano] brakes now): http://i.imgur.com/RQCSZl.jpg 1990 Black Lightning Titanium: http://i.imgur.com/COvFvl.jpg 1995 Merckx Titanium AX (made by litespeed in Tennessee) Carbon: http://i.imgur.com/V7WBml.jpg Late 80's Basso Graftek (made by aegis in Maine) |
This page must have set a record for the number of bikes over 62cm.. I wonder if more larger frames are made by American manufacturers than any other country, besides the Dutch of course because we all know how tall they can get.
The green Kelly of redxj's is my favorite. One of those bikes that can do everything. |

that 74 romic is very cool. and that blue cannondale above is an awesome color

Love Shimano Sante' stuff... So elegant and classy. I think it fell somewhere in the line around Ultegra. Maybe between Dura-Ace and Ultegra? Definitely nicer than 105 of the time.

Really great looking 'dale there, richpool!

Okay, I have to say it, there are some ugly bikes in this thread. Riders, for sure, and I'm sure they're a lot of fun to ride (which is good!) but not easy on my eyes. I guess I'm a bit of a curmudgeon that way.
