My almost NOS 1972 P15-9 Schwinn Paramount. Too small for me so it is displayed as wall art in my climate controlled man-cave

I purchased this 1973 P10-9 Schwinn Paramount in July 1998 at a Yard Sale in West Lafayette Indiana. I am the second owner. 24" frame size (61cm) . This is a never restored pristine condition bike, one of my favorite riders. Since this image, it now has a Selle An-Atomica Titanico X saddle. I rode it about 500 very careful miles this past summer..

This is my baby. 1972 Schwinn Paramount p15-9. I bought it and a matching smaller frame sibling from a older couple way back in 1995. I have ridden this one about 500 miles this past summer. I take very good care of it and never let it out of my sight. Upgrades include 700c wheel-set with seven-speed freewheel, NOS Schwinn Approved Suntour barcons and a NOS Campagnolo RALLY rear DR with bullseye pulleys. Since this image it now has a Selle An-Atomica Titanico X saddle which I absolutely love!

+1 ,especially in my case . I've also been forbidden, by UN resolution, from wearing Lycra .

I don't think a frame can get any more American than this:

As a Mtn. bike collector, most of the quality early bikes were made in USA, so I have a few:

My designed and made in the USA, 1972 Line Seeker. Finally all done and on the the road again!
Took about a year to get it finished, but the effort was very rewarding. The 41 year old bike rides very nice. Much stiffer than I thought it would be and the Veloflex Criteriums I mounted on its now period correct Fiamme Ergal sewup rims just makes it feel so much better on the road.
I'll be posting more ride impressions and the same pics on the Line Seeker build thread I have in this C&V forum to provide conclusion to the thread.
On to the next American project bike, the Medici Aerodynamic........
