Lancaster PA Bike Shop
I'm looking to find the name of an old bike shop that was once located in Lancaster, PA (intown--city). They had a large inventory both new and used, and bikes that included everything from balloon tire to road bikes. Some one on this forum told me they moved and was nice enough to send info on their new location but I lost the info. Can anybody provide the info? Thanx.
PS. I believe the move took place within the past 5-6 years.

Cycle Circle? Owned by Thom Pod. Seems like a nice little shop. I presume it is still around, or was last time I checked about 5 years ago.

I saw this listing on google, but I don't think that's the one. I did call but a recorded message indicated he is not open Tuesday thru Thursday. I'll try on Friday. Thanks for the replys.

I do not know Tom, but have talked to him several times in his shop over the years. Seems like a very nice guy. And also is someone that just really likes bikes, so I would guess he would be very interesting to most of us C&V folk.

Need to check that out the next time I am in Lancaster. I missed that one when I was rolling around there a year or so ago. But I did most of my riding out on the east side of the area.

Riding like its 1990
Was a great shop back in '99 when I was going to school in Millersville U.
Ceiling filled with hanging bikes and bits, wall covered with posters, old bikes, new bikes, little bikes and big bikes.
Smell of rubber and grease and age.
A 'real' bike shop, not a showroom shop.
Miss the old days... I need to get back there and do some real riding...

Cycle Circle Update
Spoke with CC today.....It is the shop I was looking for but I had it wrong about the hours of operation....open Tuesday thru Saturday. He had moved to the location on the website since my last visit which is why I didn't find it before. Can't make it this weekend but will be stopping on Tuesday. Will report back then.

Drove over to Cycle Circle today. It's a quanset hut type of large garage in an old brick rowhome/small home neighborhood. New and used bikes and parts, arranged for visability throughout the front area. A sideroom has more new and used bikes. Tom was there showing a customer his wares. Customer settled on a wheelset hanging form the rafters for $80., a good deal.
I talked to Tom, briefly. Introduced myself, and told him about this thread on BikeForums.
Asked if he had any highend, vintage roadbikes for sale. He said he had sold a Holdsworth a couple weeks ago. Currently, he had nothing. He said that there is not much demand from collector's, locally. And, he never knows what is coming in, until it does.
He was working on an old kids fendered balloon tire steel bike. Got the impression that it is kids sales that mostly drive his small business.
A real good guy, dedicated bike mechanic, trying to eck out a meager living in a LBS in a small city neighborhood.

My visit to Circle Circle
Report on my visit to Cycle Circle:
No fancy displays as in many of the “bicycle boutiques” these days, just a lot of bicycles and accessories. I think it is a great place for CV people.
New-used-old school-modern. Tom is very personable and had exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. He was working on an old Schwinn when I was there….my kind of guy. Didn’t stay very long as my wife was waiting in the van and I wanted to keep the peace. Photos attached fyi (taken/posted with his permission) but don’t show much due to my lousy photography skills.
Definitely worth a visit it you’re in the area. Here is the link to his site https://www.tompodcycles.com/

Shimano Certified
Kudos on the report. My daily ride commute puts me right past his shop so I roll in a couple times a week for something rather. It happens to be a bonus that he is the lowest price in town for most anything I need. One thing I like with his shop too is I can (and do) consign bikes on his floor. Beats craigslisting and keeping in my garage.
