Light! Heat! Hot Water! Bike Forums!!!!!
God it's good to be back. No real damage to our property but a week of trying to read by candlelight is kinda hard on the eyes.
Late the evening of the storm it became obvious that my cheap canvas bike shed was going to role over and smash my neighbor's car so I went out and took it apart and threw all of the bikes on top of it so that it wouldn't blow away. Then at work, we just bought this fancy old house to house workers in and a couple of trees came down and just smashed it in. It'll be spring before we have it occupieable again.
How'd the rest of you do? Is this all old news? Time to log into Amazon and see how many angry customers I have.

Glad you are MOSTLY OK, hopefully your customers understand there was this big storm thing up East! So many are so much worse off, I have had that same type of thing here in Florida, just a few limbs down, a few shingles off, power out for a while, but no real damage, really feel for those who lost it all.

I was just far enough west in NC to miss the storm, we had clouds, wind and a bit of rain. However after living through ground zero with Hugo, Fran and Katrina I am not complaining. Glad to see you are back and in one piece.

6 foot storm surge came up the river and across the property. Last year Irene nearly did us in, this year flood barriers and pumps that are driven by the city water pressure kept us dry
Mind you I was in Israel and Palestine during the event and got home today only moments before the power came back on. Double and a for the last 10 days of 80 degree days with zero humidity.
Only bikes I found in Palestine had motors attached to them

Sorry to hear of your troubles, but I'm glad everything else is relatively good. I wish you good luck and understandable customers as regards Amazon; I note that Ebay has posted a "public service announcement" regarding possible delays on shipments from the East Coast. Hopefully your Amazon customers realize the world doesn't revolve around them

Well, I got them all shipped this afternoon and I dropped a little note in each one. They're all east coast customers so I expect they'll understand.
Any other BFer's we haven't heard from yet?
