Seriously - drooling at your collection. Still looking for an early Klein road bike some day. Here's my incognito '96 Pulse II bought from the original owner and painted Yeti blue by the Yeti folks. The young guys at the lbs love the color.

I've had two Kleins. This was the last one, a 1996+/- Pulse Comp. As found, traded it.

new aquisition - looking for build advice - 60cm
i am thinking this frame will need 650s - might i have the option of 700s
looking for some advice, feedback and ideas on the build
done my share of work on my bikes including tear down overhauls / rebuilds
but only one previous ground up build and that was for a beater
and i used whatever spare parts i had
i wanna be more thoughtful with this one
not in a rush
she looks nice just hanging around for now

edit: any feedback if this would be a 'fixed' candidate
i dont have one in the collection and i think this might be interesting way to build

Wouldnt it be difficult to get the proper chain tension with those drop outs(however, I can't see them very well)? Single speed would work, but I've never done fixed on something that didnt have horizontal drops.

Sweet frame though! I think it would still look awesome as an SS with a chain tensioner.

took some measures
13mm in between the rear drops and 34mm from brake bridge to top of rear drop out
these appear to be the same measures of my quantum which runs 700s
should i be ok with 700s here - or am i missing something in my assessment
buildup noob here
thank in advance
jason

Is it 1 in? If so, I would be fully prepped (Easton ec90sl)

if we "settle" for you building it, I would recommend a wound up fork. I know they are somewhat unique looking, but I think it would be just the ticket with that frame. Then dress it with a campy 10 or 11 speed group of your liking. I would recommend the older centaur carbon, older chorus 11, or late record 10. All of these groups are a mix of polished aluminum and carbon fiber. I think the contrast of these groups will complement the paint better than an all silver or all black (carbon) group.

Hi, new to the forums but I've lurked for a while. Here's my Pulse Comp the day I got it a few months back. I changed to a shorter stem and adjusted the seat angle. I think it's a '96?
