Junk find or just junk?

A while back I picked up a Merckx, Today, I picked this up. It isn't my size but it has wheels and wife thought that I could clean it up and if nothing else, use it as a plant holder or elect to throw back in junk if didn't want to take the time/effort. Should I save the time and toss it back right now, or is there some value in cleaning this up? I haven't seen one quite like it before. It has a crank and chain.

This is cute! If you had a big living room this would look nice sitting int he corner.... well after a paint and maybe asome new wheels. I wonder if you could use BMX tubular rims would fit?

Custom made? I'm confused about how the rear axle rotates and is mounted. Cool find though.

Not sure on the value, or rarity, but it is pretty neat looking. unless you have kids, or younger family, guess it would mainly be for something neat to look at. If you're just gonna turn it into garden art, i dont see the harm in keeping it .

I believe it works something like this minus the coaster brake. The is a long outer tube that the axle runs through from the cog to one or both wheels which on the trike likely fixed.

if you are foolish enough to want new tires,
find a vintage pedalcar website that offers tire service,
its a special tire with a wire in it, there is a tool that holds the tire and exposes the wire enough so it can be twisted and tucked in.
I had a pedal car redone long time ago...
should sell it off now....kids too big for it.
