Sweet pictures! Any chance you could put up a few pictures of the rotating lock lever itself? It appears to be a different shape than most of the ones we see.

Very nice piece of history. Can someone please tell me when it was manufactured, just the decade would be enough.

Tullio got a patent for the quick release in 1930. He started the company in 1933.

This particular one is most definitely prewar but I have no idea when the different generations came out. HiCampy probably knows.

Thanks, that puts it into perspective for me....probably somewhere between 1933 and 1940 or so.
