Campy "Raise" Bolt

I bought a set of Weinmann 605 brakes a few years ago. I only wanted the junior size brake levers that were with them but it was only $15 for the lot so I took them, used the levers and tossed the calipers into my parts box. I was digging around in my parts box last night looking for some calipers for a winter build and I came across the Weinmann 605's. Something was odd about them so I looked closer and notice that they had "raise" bolts installed to make them short reach. Campy drop bolts no less. The rear bolt is trash because it has been cut down to fit but the one on the front is intact. Now if I only could find a Zeus drop bolt?

Beautifully made repops of the Campy drop bolts are HERE. They're not cheap, but if you need 'em, they're not that expensive.

If only he'd learn how to spell 'bicycle'...

That's a very interesting link Scooper. And yes, those certainly ain't cheap. But, lathe turned from "one piece". I remember when I suggested Campy's were probably made from one piece, in this very forum, several folks scoffed at me. That guy shows it can be done.
