Your question prompted me to go look at those fenders again. Clicking through to the Flickr page opened up a lot of pictures of that bike and more. I see that bike is available for $6800, and my first thought was that it is $5000 overpriced. that was until I looked at more of the pictures. All I can say is, "Wow!" Every bike there is spectacular, phenomenal. They have "MAP" on the downtubes, so I googled MAP bikes and found bike builder Mitch Pryor. I now think $6800 is very fair, and if I was a man of means I'd be all over a randonneuse with all the options.

By the way, it looks from the pictures that he fabricates those lovely fenders.

I love what Mitch does, mixing old with new. I'm not sure but I believe those fenders are the real deal 1940's something or other from France

I wonder what Mr Baylis would say about being on a porn site! Thanks for the pic, I had missed it over on the CR "discussion."

Jim,
Dale posted a new thread on his take on the "Mario's Masi" discussion. In response, the owner of the bike posted a couple of pics, which he said Mr. Baylis had just sent to him. I love the look on his face in this shot. And the hands.

Weird. I read that post, but the photos did not appear with the post. Could you share the other photo?

Thanks - I went back to Dale's post, and more specifically John Pergolizzi's response and saw his reference to the photos (attached). I realized that it was my use of the "old" Google Groups settings that was not showing the photos. I'll attach them here. Here is a man, world renown, at the top of his craft, showing such pride in his work, it says it all.

I only hope that whomever buys the Masi will want to put it into it's rightful place in Bob Hovey's Masi Registry, with the other Confente special-builds.

Thanks for posting those Jim. Just saw Lynn's request. Yup. A master there, holding a master's piece of work. The sober face pic is great, but I really like the goofy expression shot too.
