La Retro 1903

Just found out about an upcoming retro ride in France saturday the 22 of June to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France. It will be a 86 km retro ride loosly based on a tourstage from 1903 in the same area won by Maurice Garin

The rules to participate seem to be a little bit like those of L'Eroica: steel bikes from before 1987 are allowed to participate with downtube shifters and pedalcages.

It will be a big retroweekend complete with Saumur as a retro village shows and a big party on sunday

I think I will join this ride and have a nice long weekend over there as it is a not to long ride from the Netherlands and looks to be fun.
