Rising from the ashes....my new-to-me Bianchi.
The pun was intentional being in PHX. And refers to my recent loss of all my possessions, including bikes and tools.
Well, my 1st Bianchi ($50 fixer-upper) is finished. Completed it last night. With a lot of improvisation, generosity, effort, and luck, I once again have a road bike to ride.
I couldn't have done this without the help of C&V forumites GlennFordx4, Gomango, Irvri, and kvltBryce. Special thanks goes out to them. And a thanks also to those here who inspired me to not give up in the face of despair.
Better pics to follow once I can get some sunlight.
According to Bianchgirll, it's a '88 Premio, Suntour Accushift @4050 6-spd. It needed a saddle, pedals, stem, bars, and front brake caliper. The fellas above graciously donated the missing parts. I will likely play around with the configuration in the weeks to come. Like swap out the wheels with a set from Irvri that has bronze finish rims.

Just noticed the 86-87 Colorado Springs decal. I was living there when they had the World Junior Cycling Championships there. I still have some water bottles with the logo on them that have never been used.

Interesting! My '88 Premio also had a VP130 triple crank set up as a double with black-painted rings, and I assumed this had been due to some PO along the way. Was this in fact stock?
P.S. Loving the rest of the pics, too. When I get the '87 Sport built up, they'll be like brother and sister. (Or maybe cousins, considering the mods.)
