Mavic 305 headset adjustment

Does anyone have any experience with this headset? My De Rosa came with this installed and if I ever get around to a respray I'm thinking about replacing it with a Campy threaded. I think the 305 has an allen wrench (2.5mm) lock under a plastic gasket that needs to be loosened before I can adjust or remove the headset. I can't find anything more specific online and I don't want to break anything.

You got it right! just slide the plastic ring off, and unscrew the little bolt. Then you will be able to loosen the locknut/top portion of the headset.

Which CampI? That Mavic has a stack height of 39mm and the C-Rec era CampIs have about a 41.2 stack.

IMHO that exact stack height is the only thing wrong with that Mavic HS

Thanks, guys. I'll have to double check the stack height issue. The headset works fine, I can always reinstall it later if necessary.
