Kinda lost track when the holidays hit, but I don't seem to see anything about it anymore...
IIRC, Our #1 Puch fan in Finland was heading the effort....
Did the whole deal with the supplier(s) fall apart??

Yes. I think it was determined that pricing and availability were not to our advantage.

Yes, increased demand just kept the price firm and may have raised the ebay price too.

And then Puch came to the States for the month, eliminating the opportunity for cheaper trans-atlantic delivery.

BTW, I recently pulled out a spare set of the old repos from 4-5 years ago from the CR list and they were way darker than these repos which are more translucent and in my opinion that makes them look more authentic. I.e. if you can get the american ones they are better. Can't remember who made them or if they are still doing it.

Your wording is confusing to me...you are saying your old repops are the ones to get? Would those be the ones made by Robbie Fellows on the CR list?

Robbie does offer a price of $39 for three or more sets. One just needs to be aware that his production is not continuous. He will usually announce a new batch on CR.

Awwww.........Shuchks and Damitol!!
I guess there just not much hopeleft to ever find reasonably priced (less than 40 bucks) new lever hoods out there. Heck, some of them don't seem to ever pop up for sale at eBay anymore (Spidel LS1 and Universal later AER model...which I am also looking for.) = unobtanium..

Yes, I am saying Robbie's are better aesthetically in my opinion. I bought three sets for $39 ea. way back when and am surprise the price hasn't gone up. Well worth it.

Dale Brown, the owner of CyclesdeOro and the listmaster of CR has a bag of those at his shop. Can't remember the prices or which one they fit on but I can check, if anybody wants me to.

I have never used any of Robbie's Campy hoods, but his Universal ones are just fine, in my opinion...

Dale seems to be out of the reproduction ones. Has some Shield logo ones. Authentic old stock? Can't tell.

There is no link. From time to time, Robbie will announce on the CR List that he is cooking a new batch and solicits orders. Come to think of it , I have not seen him do so lately. You have to buy 3 sets to get the $39 price and I believe it is $8 shipping...$125 total.

Ah, thank you.

So, if I need one pair only, I am stuck with the reproductions on eBay for about $50 after shipping, right?
