Sorry for the OT, I run Veloce 8 speed ergos with Shimano 8 speed drivetrain (shiftmate) and the right ergo (rear derailer operator) works perfect, but the left one that shifts the two big cogs is a bit hard on my fingers, when shifting up to the bigger cog. Is that because of the Shimano 600's front derailer's spring being to hard or? My arm hurts a bit when shifting. I had second gen Xenon that was not that hard on my arms. Any way to reduce resistance?

A lovely Scapin rookie. I bet it's a real head turner especially in a 'sea of black carbon fibre'. I love it....so well put together.

I don't own either one of these anymore, but the steel Bertoni was fun while I had it. I never rode the Fondriest much. I bought it mainly for the parts.

I AM in love with your Bianchi Mapleleafs - 13. It is one of my most wanted bikes and exactly as yours. In my eyes it's perfect.

I have wanted one since the mid 90's when I first came across a Bianchi just like yours and it was for sale...but it was slightly too small. I have been looking ever since here in Australia. This era of Bianchi's were imported into Australia by a grandson of Edoardo Bianchi but unfortunately he was poor at marketing/distributing resulting at very few being imported during that era. I have never come across one my size.

Fortunately I can look at yours which helps me to keep my dream alive.

check out the scapin's current saddle...upside-down clock in the nose, so you can glance down at it on the bike (too tiny to be useful). oh, and iridescent snake skin!
