1985-1990 Italian Columubus steel road frame identification

recently i bought some road italian frame from 1985-1990. it had shimano 600 parts, gipiemme dropouts, columbus tubeset. it is really beautiful, but when i bought it it was raw steel so i dont know what is that frame. only know that it is italian and the name starts with B. can you please help me and give me a list of italian bicycles which started with B(it is not bianchi, bottechia or basso)

Hello Tokic, welcome to the forums. If it was raw steel how do you know it is Columbus tubing?

Could it be a Baldcucci? Bugatti?

it had columbus sticker, but the ex owner remowed the color an he cant remember what is the name of bicycle, he only knows that it starts with B and that there was a letter B on the headtube. i found names like Benotto, Battaglin, Bertelli, but they havent got B on the headtube. only Basso and Bertoni have the leter B on the headbadge. maybe it is bertoni, but i want to hear other options

There's so many italain names that start with a B. Benotto, Branca, Most of the brands listed above produced bikes during that era, not too many more suggestions out there. Why do you say it's not a Bianchi?

Bertonis also had fork crown, head lug, and BB pantographing. So if you've none of that, then probably not a Bertoni.

Lou Deeter (famous contributor of info to the CR list) used to offer his "Used Bicycle Guide" that listed all he could glean about all the makes of the world...he sold the guide to the public, but I don't think it was hugely expensive (tho I never have bought one).
You might contact him, and he might still be:

[QUOTE=hueyhoolihan;15233413]how do you plan on determining whether anyone guesses correctly

if i told the name and show the logo to the ex-owner he would remember, but i havent yet found the bike with this characteristics. All things i know about this frame:
-IT IS MADE OF COLUMBUS STEEL
-IT HAS GIPIEMME DROPOUTS
-THE NAME STARTS WITH B
-IT HAD THE LOGO "B" ON THE HEAD TUBE
-THE FORK LOOKS LIKE THIS, BUT WITHOUT COLNAGO LOGO ON THE TOP https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vtg-Columb...p2047675.l2557
-AND HERE IS THE PICTURE OF THE FRAME

so it's a fairly common sloping crown and it has no "B" engraved anywhere on anything, right?
BTW, that example does not have a Columbus dove on the crown, it's a Concorde stork...or whatever the Concorde bird was.
Since you got your camera out: take and post pix of all the details
