How to service Gipiemme Dual Sprints Pedal
Hi all,
I got a pair of Gipiemme Dual Sprints Pedals for my Medici. Recently, when I ride it, I hear the click noise in the left pedal. It sounds clicking every time I push the pedal at the position 11:00 o'clock.
I want to service the pedals but don't know how to do it? Could you please show me how to do?
Thank you

Cool pedals. They look to be identical to Campy Record. If you search for servicing Campagnolo Record (or Nuovo Record, or Super Record) pedals I'm sure you'll find a walk-through.
You'll need cone wrenches of the proper size. I also highly recommend buying a MKS or Campagnolo pedal dust cap removal tool to avoid damaging them.

Yes, it does.
The Dual Sprint pedal is very similar to the Campagnolo Gran Sport pedal; the parts even interchange. Overhauling a pedal of this type is essentially the same as overhauling a loose-ball hub, except you only have a locknut on one end of the spindle. Clamp the pedal axle in a vise to protect the threads (the large opening of a Campagnolo axle vise works well for me):
Remove the dust cap, and then the locknut (you may need to use a wrench on the axle flats to prevent it from turning). Lift off the toothed washer under the locknut and unthread the cone. You can then lift the pedal body off the axle and clean it up. Fresh grease and fresh balls, re-install the cone and toothed washer, and adjust. You may need a screwdriver blade between the cone and the pedal body to prevent it from moving as you tighten the locknut. Take your time; it's a tight space and seldom adjusts right on the first attempt. You want free rotation without slop. Enjoy...
