Very specific Q : compatibility between RD-6400 & RD-7400 pulley plate / cages

Are they compatible ? I'm looking to buy a busted Shimano 600 RD w/ a missing outer plate and I have and old 7400 outer plate not being used in my box... more precisely both models are RD-6401 (non aero) and RD-7400....

Thanks in advance,,,

I have like 3 6401 RDs, be happy to measure c-t-c on the pulley bolts. With that you should have a pretty good sense of it.

Just give me the sign.

Don't let the fractions of milimeters fool you, I'd say they're all 47mm, the error is in my measuring more than anything else. I don't think shimano would make them less than 1mm off of each other.

6401:

While I was at it, I picked up some other generations of 600 RDs.

So, yes, it'll bolt up, whether the inner cage will need a little tweaking is TBD.
