Niitaka 3 speeds?

Anyone out there have any insight on the bike below? Never heard of Niitaka. Owner tells me it's from the mid 70's to early 80's.

I don't know anything about your Nitaka, but I had a Nitaka Reputation 400 12 speed from the mid-eighties. I've always wanted to know more about that company but I have not been able to find information on it. It had Sun Tour drive train components, Dia Compe center pull brakes a steel handlebar and steel wheels. It wasn't a lightweight by any means. LOL

Looks like a basic Japanese 3-speed, probably 1970s vintage.

hey i saw that on the local CL too! i was curious about this too, I see quite a few Japanese 3 speeds on CL of various makes. it's hard to tell which are good quality.

here's a couple more:

my cousin bought an odyssey(Japanese) ladies 3 speed not too long ago too that was a really small size for his GF. The quality wasnt great, but the frame fit so it was worth it.
