My not quite C&V Colnago Dream
Just had a friend pick this up for me, looks complete minus the wheels. Supposedly has $300 carbon bars and campy record components and what looks like an American Classic seatpost but I have not seen the bike in person to verify what the seller said. Has anyone ever ridden one? Any idea on the year? (im guessing 01 or 02?). I paid $325 so I think I did well regardless

Nice! I love riding my C40 HP, it's a great ride. Mine is a 04 so I can't really compare it to yours but it should ride great!

I've got one and I really do like riding it. It's very responsive and very stiff at the bottom bracket. I was worried about the harsh aluminium frame reputation but I was pleasantly surprised - it's ride qualities are not too bad at all. I think the Colnago Dream's are undervalued as they are seen as yesterday's technology but they are great frames. One thing I think they suffer from is that the paint is easily chipped.

Wow, you did very well!
$325 and it's only missing the wheels and equipped with Campy Record? That adds up to a steal for that bike. They do have some great fancy paint jobs to, if you like that, which I do.
Good luck and let's see some completed pics when you get her done!
