Old Trek Helmet - any guesses how old?
Scooped up this older cycling helmet just because it was a couple of bucks. I haven't been able to dig up much of anything about it online, and of course the label with the manufacture date is blank. Any guesses when this style of helmet was commonplace?

The snell rating label should give you the information you are looking for.
Snell updates their rating every year or two and a new label gets released each time.
Helmets must be certified to the current and most recent snell standard so if you can decode the snell label it should get you within a year or two.
Try looking up information on snell helmet ratings to see if you can find anything.
Edit:
As seen in this link:

That helmet looks like it would have an original B90 sticker on it which should date it to around 1990 or so.
I seem to recall wearing helmets similar to this around that time too. Or at least they were available at that time.
