What kind of handlebars are these?
I bought this Specialized on Craigslist a couple days ago and changed out the rear derailleur, cleaned it up a bit. I really enjoy the ride but I've been wondering what kind of handlebars are on this. I've looked through pages of google images and different sites that talk about different types of bars but I can't find anything that shows something like these. I have yet to remove the tape and see if it's some sort of custom job, but it rides solid and feels like it must be welded if it's been modified. I kind of like the extra low bars, but feel as though I'm probably too low and my hands are quite far away from the brakes and shifters in that position. Any info would be great, this is my first post but I figured if the bike is around 20 years old this may be a good place to start.

Just like that I found them with the first search for Scott drop handlebars. Thanks for the lightning quick reply!

Scott drop ins, not sure how they ride. a LBS has a huge stack of them, with the original clearance tag still in guilders! So apparently they weren't all to popular back in the day...

I rode the Scott Drop-In bars from back in about 1991. They're a little flexible, particularly on those extensions. Otherwise, the depth of the drops was fine, back in my 20s, but a little much for my refined (read older back) position these days. They do look interesting, and remind me of Lemond.
