Band on shifter mount
I'm not a regular on this forum so please forgive me if I'm asking the screamingly obvious.
My old Europa doesn't have brazed on shifter mounts (on the down tube). I'm about to fit a SA S3X hub, and want to use down a tube shifter. I've got a band on shifter mount, but it's got two mounts. While I can use it, I'd prefer the tidyness of only a single sided mount.
Can I buy such a thing, where can I buy it what the flippin' heck is it called?
(that last has been the sticking point as I don't know if my lack of searching success has been because they aren't available or because I'm using the wrong search terms )
Thanks for your help.

You are looking for a single sided downtube shifter clamp. I don't think I've seen one in a very long time. Campy used to make one but good luck finding one: https://velobase.com/ViewComponent.as...9-80879c228b92. Someone else may have a better idea.

I reckon you're right. Suggestions on something appropriate to bolt on the unused side are also welcome - she's one of my main bikes so I don't want her looking manky.

Search the world wild web for "downtube 5 speed shifter bicycle". Like so:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Vintage-...item19de3b135c
Although I think I got my last one at my local bike shop. I would try local first... I think it was made by Sunrace.

Here's one that sold recently.
Search words: clamp shifter, down tube shifter, clamp on shifter, downtube mount, etc. Whether your shifter will mount on this one, I have no idea.

Another one, currently for sale, and its Shimano.

You know, I have a single-sided clamp like that, for the Suntour Power shifter. I've seen several of their 2x5 setups, and I've been using a stem-mounted version with Campagnolo, LOL, but that single-sided one struck me as worth grabbing, just because it was different.

Thanks all. Looks like I have options and not stupidly expensive ones either.
