Yeah i think that one is late 80's/early 90's, im no expert though. That one is a bad example, pretty ugly in my opinion. mine is probably the same age as yours, within a year or so. it has the same colour scheme and decals, except in dark red and goldish metallic. Also it has Suntour ARx derailleurs and Suntour symmetric shifters (self trimming!). What are the components on yours?
Mate that looks beautiful after a clean. That is a truly great find for $15.

Mine has the Suntour Mountech derailleur at the front and an AR at the rear (the catalogue shows a Mountech triple cog at the rear so wonder if the AR is original or has been fitted later?) The shifters are also Suntour symmetric!
Cranks are Sugino RT triples (very nice) and the pedals KKT ProVic II (with very nasty bearings). Hubs are Sanshin QR with Araya rims and the brakes are of course Dia Compe 981 cantis. Drop bars are SR Sakae custom road champions.
On the shopping list at the mo are Tektro RL340 aero brake levers, Shimano M324 combo pedals, a Shimano TZ21 14-28T 7 speed freewheel, Fizik soft touch black bar tape (hate the old foam it had) and Schwalbe Marathon road tyres.
The saddle is a nasty black thing but I hope Santa will bring me a Brooks B17 in honey which methinks would look great against the blue.

Haha....no problem man. That is one pretty bike. Bet that gold looks stunning in the sunlight.
Would like to change my BB as well as it felt a bit notchy, hoping a good grease and proper adjustment will be okay. Will have to do for now....too early to be blowing the budget.
Thanks for the pics, great to see your nice rig.

I was looking for something else and saw that problem solvers sells a kit that does exactly what I described above.

Great buy... I bought a two tone blue Nishiki Cresta. It was labeled Nishiki only, not labeled Repro but otherwise looks identical to yours. I had to pay higher than the sellers asking price... He was asking $80 I had to pay $90 to get it... But, it had 700c wheels and decent but ugly blue tires but no racks. It has the canti brakes that I replaced the pads and adjusted and they work pretty good.
