For go fast rides it is this one, 1983 Colnago Superissimo:
Since I am not in very good shape and I haven't found go fast routes, it is this one, 1984 Trek 610 with braze on modifications with more to come: Not recent pictures as both have quill pedals with toe clips and straps, the Colnago with Campy SL and the Trek with Lyotard. The drive train on the Trek is more than 10 years older than the frame. Not a classic yet but I predict it will be, my daily commute is a 1997 Specialized RockHopper: |
My Bridgestone is still in the basement on the trainer because I have been enjoying riding the Paramount too much.

So many beautiful bikes here already. I love the riders.
My main rider is definitely this one, my '77 Centurion Semi-Professional: http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/_MG_1673.jpg |

Trek 760 sees most of the riding time, followed by the Gitane TDF (for go fast smaller hill routes), or the Croll for cross/rigid MTB duties. Crappy pics

This is what I am riding now. '73 Raleigh Grand Prix. Steel rims with a Kenda tire in the rear and a Schwinn Puff up front.
The fit and ride are pretty extraordinary. I took it out on a group ride last Sunday and had no problem with keeping the pace. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a3...D720/ry%3D480/ |

I put a triple on my 1993 RB-1 and it quickly became my go-to bike. I built it with a bunch of nos parts I had lying around which are older than the bike (sealed superbe hubs, campy omicron rims, shimano 600 triple crank, royal-compe single pivot brakes, sachs 7 speed freewheel). The only new part on the bike is the ultegra RD.

Thanks Zieleman. Still fine tuning a little bit. It's a little tall for me but for the price I couldn't resist. Rides very nicely.

Definitely this one - 64 years old and still going very strong:

I haven't built it back up all the way yet, I need a few hours at work while I'm off the clock to finish it up.
But, once it's done, my 1984 Fuji Sagres will DEFINITELY get me seen around campus. The old paint was peeling and the frame was rusting underneath. I wanted to go for neon yellow powder coat, but the company that did it for me asked if they could try a new technique they'd learned. They blended and layered 6 translucent and candy coatings over "OEM Wheel Sparkle" to get the look. More pics one she's all built back up. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=331129 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=331131 |
