Trek 420L

I wondered home with a 1984 Trek 420L frame today. It is kind of a combination of a step-through and mixtie design. Anyway, is it my imagination, or is this the only year and model step-through frame Trek made (ignoring recent offerings)?

Here is a picture shamefully stolen from the interwebs:

According to Vintage-Trek the 420L was only made in 1984.

You lucky dog. I have been looking/trawling for a 19" frame one of these for years. Easier for me to find a mid 80's Trek burgundy 720 touring bike in my size than this one. At one point, I was trying to build up a nice and light mixtie frame bike for my wife. Finally ended up with a nice Motobecane. Too bad they only sold this ladies model for one year. Nice bike.

Yup. One year only, and nice specs. I had one briefly and sold it to a forum member. I really dug the crank and RD.

I have a 420L with the 21" frame posted in the Marketplace ads . If you know anyone who really wants one of these, here's their chance!
