Too bad that article wasn't just a bit longer. I'd be interested in more detail. I have a Giant Iguana from 1992 (I think - does anyone know how to look up older Giant serial numbers? The late eighties and early nineties are a bit hazy to me). It has been a great bike and has held up well over the years. I bought it from a local long-standing Schwinn dealer back then, and had always wondered why they had steered me away from the Schwinns at that time. I didn't know about their bankruptcy.

I haven't peaked at the article but there is a bunch on the Giant-Schwinn relationship in the book "no hands"
