Stem mounted bottle cage install for dummies
So, I'm on eBay the other day, and I see this pretty cool looking bottle cage. Proper C&V, methinks, and perfect for the Comp GS. Supposed to be from a Raleigh Record. $9 to the door so what the heck.
It sits nicely over the stem and bars but there's no way to hold it down. I'm thinking to use some two-sided velcro cable ties I have laying around, but there has to be a proper, factory way. Anyone know what that might be? Am I missing pieces? Or am I way off base?

I have the exact cage but in black, pretty sure it was made by Blackburn.

You're missing the piece that clamps it to the bars as seen in my photos below.
This link will show how someone took care of the same problem: https://chuck.kichline.com/bikes/Dawes/default.htm
