I going from CT, staying in Somerset NJ friday night. should be there fairly early saturday. I had nothing to do this weekend, so why not?

I was hoping to go but have to head out to California early Saturday morning. Cool seeing some of the PA people on the post. I use to live in Wyomissing before we job took us further west to Lancaster County. Coming up 222 you pass the road to Tom Kellogg's Spectrum Cycles which is a fun stop if you ever get the chance on a week day. They did the repaint on my 82 Merckx after the finish got messed-up on a relocation.

so where everybody staying? I have not tried sleeping in my new car yet!

Just confirmed my ride to on this. We are 2 1/2 hours away. We be leaving around 5 in the morning. I am sure that we are only doing one day. Wife's birthday coming up in about a week, she has already gave me her long list and $$$ that she wants... So, that gives me(I think) to at least spend 1/2 of what her birthday is going to cost me.. :D Hoping I find the my missing link up there, if not, I will stock up on some well needed parts. To a bike nut, this is going to like a porn seminar.. ha ha.. ;)

cehowardGS, I haven't decided yet, but if I go, I'd like to meet you. If you see me, please introduce yourself. I pretty much look like my picture, just a little balder.

That's a bet!! You can't miss me either, skinny, in fact, very skinny black old man, with full long grey hair. Look like I just escaped from a nut house.. :D

In Westminster, I met photography, already know master builder and bike artist Robbie Tunes, and a couple others I have met.. Look forward to seeing ya..

No can fix!! :D I can fix a flat on both wheels, and that is about it..

Ride, yes, coming from die-in-the-wool-motorcycle-racing, I take to the fast two-wheel ride like a duck takes to water.. :D But, senility has snuck in along with me being minus my hearing aids(lost them)so that makes me a freakin hot mess.. :D

All I can say is WOW!! That was my first time at Trexlertown!! Wow!! I wasn't prepared for the onslaught of goodies and the vastness of everything. I was overwhelmed. :) My two buddies scored real well, as they were veterans. Did not see anybody from BF, I know a lot of us were there, it was just the sheer amount of people that made finding others very hard. This meet will go down as one of my MUST DO, for every year to come..

Again, a super meet/swap/show!!

Cehowardgs, it's twice a year!

I didn't make it. It was time to skip, after being there almost every time for about threes years.

otg 10-06-13 09:59 AM

I was there, maybe even talked to people on here without realizing it. I picked up a winter project.

OTG - I like that! There's something about the Brit wrapped seat stays.

I've been sick since Tuesday - ended up sleeping late and missed it (3rd consecutive missed). Hopefully next year.

Thanks, it was more than I wanted to spend, but it was my size, so it followed me home. I got a nice Brooks Professional to go along with it. I also went home broke! If I had brought more cash I would have spent it.

This year seemed better than ever, got a NOS shimano 600 rear derailleur in the box for $10. Scored some United Healthcare cycling apparel for cheap - new warm-up jackets and pants for $5, headsweat caps for $5 and work shirts for $1. My experience is that the people selling stuff are always cool. Makes it worth the trip even if you don't find anything. Can't wait till the spring.

ended up just buying a Thomson seatpost at like an unbelievable price. but sure it was fun.
lotta fun stuffs and cool people—except one jerk who tried to sell me a collided frame pretending not to know about it.
i may have talked with some folks here as well. will definitely stay longer next one.

Poguemahone 10-07-13 04:26 AM

I'm missing this (both emotionally and spatial/timewise). Think I'll drive up to one of them next year for giggles-- probably do my usual thing and rent a space. Bargains aside, it is just a fun event.
