I've lost my grip with anticipation
Although it's not the last straw
We'd better slice these gifts open soon
Even the tannenbaum's getting brown
Guess I needza drink while we wait

You mean we have to wait til Christmas to open them...
The elves ran into complications with my gift, so working on version two to meet the shipping deadline. Think I will still be a day early and the person is on the same coast, so should still be good.

Technically, My Rules, never say anything about the timing of opening. It is left up to the recipient.
So an "opening" date is never specified. Some folks travel and might not want to haul a mysterious box along for the ride. So it is perfectly fine to open before the Big Day, as long as pictures are taken and posted here! That's one of My Infallible Rules.
If you have not received a gift by the time your mail arrives on December 26th, send me a PM or Email and I'll contact your Secret Santa and get a status report. If you are late in shipping, please let me know with an expected delivery date, so I don't need to hunt you down and slice your Panaracers for being a naughty Elf.
Please realize I'm coming up on 4 days of overdrive! I won't have much breathing room until Dec 26th, so keep this in mind if you contact me via PM or email.
Here are my rules (slightly modified from last year):
- You must have joined BF no later than September 30th, 2013 and have 50 posts by November 30th, 2013 to participate (I'll explain why in a separate post).
- Deadline to PM or email your name, address, and email to me is Thursday November 28th at midnight your local time (pastorbobnlnh@gmail.com).
- My deadline to PM (or email) the needed information about your C&V Elf to gift as his/her Secret Santa will be Friday December 4th at midnight EST.
- Your Deadline to mail your Secret Santa gift to your C&V Elf is Saturday December 21st (delayed senders should contact me).
- Your package should not reveal your Secret Santa identity, so be creative on a return address (more on this in another post).
- Pictures of the gift you received must be posted in this thread within 24-48 hours of opening.
- I will post BF names of Secret Santas and their Elves by Sunday December 29th.
- By consensus of the group in 2012, Secret Santa gifts should be kept within the range of $20-30.

I plan to wait til at least Christmas Eve, when we open our presents. I was just mimicking my kids...

The elves pulled it together on their second attempt, looks like my gift will be competed tonight to ship tomorrow. A day ahead of the deadline. Hope there are no delays in delivery, though its roughly 800 miles, so it should make it for Christmas!

Got a parcel last week from an 'Austrian elf' in MD somewhere. Hmmm. I'm also a part of another SS online, so I'm not certain, this is from a C&V'er, but I'm pretty sure I know who this is. Pics to follow.
Just mailed mine today, flat rate don't fail me now. Dude at the desk said it'd be there Monday.

Mine went out today as well. Also says Monday delivery expected. At least there is an extra day, just in case.

Mine was sent yesterday. Should be there Monday. If not, should be there Tuesday. If not, happy Kwaanza.

Received mine today....I think it's a DVD but I'm waiting to open it.
It came from Hoboken which means my SS could be anyone from the tri-state area.

Received my package and, even better, finally got the last gift for my recipient's stocking. It will head out tomorrow morning.

Still learning
From Bruce Springsteen, John Bon Jovi, Tony Soprano, or Frank Sinatra's ghost? Eli Manning, who does live in Hoboken, has to focus.

Apparently, My Lovely Wife™ has been in cohoots with my Secret Santa. She said I could open my gifts today, so here is what I found.
I hope this isn't a hint that I need to perform more overhauls on my bikes. It's true anyway, so that's OK. Thank you, Santa!
