You mean...like this one? Faema colorway, not Faema livery. Some changes since these were taken: darker red housing, Vittoria Open Corsa red stripe tires, new wheel set with polished rims, Concor saddle and matching red leather bar tape:

Too bad about that Dura Ace stuff.
Edit: I found a Faema Replica on another forum: https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=124550

That being said, rccardr's shown here is a honey as well.
I love riding older DA equipped Merckx models, as well as my De Rosa SLX with DA 7400.
I've owned three EMs with DA or 600.
I remember teams locally switching over from SR to DA 7400 when it came out.
I raced with it as well on my Supers and grew a sweet tooth for DA.
Most of my bikes are Campagnolo equipped at this point, but a certain DA 7700 gruppo may sneak onto an upcoming gravel build for a friend.

It should be noted that by the mid 80's Eddy gave customers purchasing complete bikes the option of either Campagnolo or Dura Ace components. By the late 80's and into the early 90's European customers could get a bike with Shimano 600 tricolor.
So, poo on you.
So, poo on you.

Yeah, and 7-11/Motorolo raced with Shimano, still doesn't make it right. Eddy didn't race Shimano, so there. At least route the brake cables properly. Poo back on you

Aha. Well, perhaps at some point you can show us yours.
Meeanwhile, as previously mentioned, the brake cables were routed behind the bars a' la Eddy after the first set of pics were taken, along with some other changes. Most recent:

You'd poop your pants if I showed you mine.
Also, the cabling is not Eddy style, it's the correct way to route cables, unless you have an unusually short stem.
I think your frame is very nice, one of the nicest I've seen. It's the build that is a little off to my eyes. To each their own. Vive la différence.

I am not worried @ the thread being hijacked, Rccardr, & Zmuds are beautiful bikes, works of art...I would rather have my thread jumped by people talking about bikes, and their interest and respect for them and the riders than sitting at a bar listening to drunks talk politics....As for the fly fishing. I have to say, to be able to ride the Going-to-Sun road in the morning, and float / fish the N.F. of the Flathead River the rest of the day, is pretty special.
Door or is always open and the spare room is always available...well, most of the time. We do have riders drop in from time to time to couch surf. Some we know, some are friends of friends, and some just have our number from somebody who has stayed here... Had a great ride today

Beautiful Merckx, Orvis! Have you considered riding a local ride to you, Cino Heroica, with it? You'd be in good company!

We slept in a field outside Polson in 1976 when we were out on our six month motorcycle tour of North America.
All I remember is a whopper of a thunderstorm highlighted by the nearby mountains.
Such a beautiful area to ride your Merckx in I would imagine.
