If it has 10 speeds, cottered steel cranks, steel rims, and half-chromed forks, it is probably a UO-8 from the early 1970s. Yes, please tell us more.

Photos are good; there are several of us who can spot Peugeot models reasonable well-like. Orange kind of hints at 70's UO8 to me (serial number is certainly 70's), very likable and workmanlike bike.

Yes, I remember late 1972, when Peugeot introduced a spectrum of colours, after initially offering the UO-8 in the U.S. in white, green, and blue only. In addition to red, orange, yellow, and purple, they produced a very sharp-looking, unfortunately short-lived, "champagne" colour, which made the lowly UO-8 look like a much more expensive bike.

Came across this orange Peugeot on Dutch Ebay (marktplaats.nl).
Can't see well, but cranks seem cotterless to me.

Sorry for the Dutch Royal family, orange is not my color....

By the 90's Pugs were built in Canada for the most part, I believe. No pictures, sorry, but I might be able to crash the server with shots of pre-1980 ones.
