Is there such a thing as the Bike Forums Person of The Year?

Whether or not there is a C&V Person of the Year I would like to nominate longbeachgary. His over-the-top generosity is extraordinary. It is great to see people willing to share their love of classic and vintage bikes with others.

Is pope Francis on here with a couple of sweet 'Nago's? I mean, he's sweeping up all these awards anyway...

A BFPOTY award could actually become a burden....
Imagine trying to behave perfectly in the forums for 365 days.....
It's impossible!
We all have those days when we feel that we have to drop some snippy remark about a holy grail bike or component to keep things a bit "spicy" and objective in the forum.......and I suspect it would take much less than indescretionary/drunk party nudie shots in the net to get the title stripped away by the moderators.....

I would certainly vote for Francis as best Pope of the year, but not having noticed any c&v posts by him, I can't vote for him as bfpoty.

I would rather see nominations for "best c&v thread of the year" or the like.

I was thinking FRED for all the laughs and good times he brings to all his posts or DREW for keeping everyone passionate about the C&V hobby.

BFPOTY C&V = the person who added the largest number of quality lightweight keepers to their stable. Definitions of 'quality' and 'lightweight' are of course up to the Forum.

T-mar gets the lifetime achievement award for all of the years he did not get the award.

2013 would have to go to rootboy. I dare you to find a thread he did make at least some contribution on.

Wha? Thanks Kobe,

but, as much as we can't base it on sheer numbers of bikes acquired as suggested above, we can't base it on number of contributions to threads. Heck, three fifths of what I write here is nonsense. Probably more. And if I've contributed to way more threads than others…it only means I'm spending way too much time in this chair!
Thanks, tho'.

I say we vote best thread of the year, as someone said.

I vote for Auchencrow. Though for which thread I can't remember right now ,
