Room at the Walker House is booked! If you haven't already rsvp'd to iab, you might want to do so sooner than later. He's going to cap the ride limit, so as to keep the support and logistics manageable.....

Thanks.

The proof of the poster came in too. The green needs a tweak in the cyan

I've lined up a local guy to do the tees and musettes.

Unfortunately economic events are not favorable to that option at this time

We even canceled our vacation to Turkey/Greece this year.

Robbie- Checked our calendar with Mrs. Doc and we are clear for that weekend and the days before and after. So if you're thinking road trip, I'm in. Much prefer to drive with a nice bike in/on the vehicle than case one of my beauties up and ship it or fly with it. Will probably bring the Faema Merckx.

You know my e-mail addy, let me know the dealio. Happy to pay for the gas and have enough Marriott points that we could probably stay for free halfway there and halfway back.

All we need now is some above freezing weather so that we can actually do some riding... Room at the Walker House is booked. Looking forward to it!

Bob, should I just book at the Walker House?

Seems like ground zero.

Or?

Seems like Mineral Point is the natural gathering point. I believe that iab said that it's the closest town (5-10 miles from the start?). There's a B and B right next to the Walker House, but it's about double the price, I believe ($80 vs. $180?). Walker House has shared bathrooms, but there weren't any problems with that during this past year's Dairyland Dare. It has a nice pub area and patio, where we can all gather for a beer. And, the brewery/pub next door has excellent food and beer.

If you want a larger sized bed, I'd contact the Walker House asap and reserve a room

Please put Robbie and me down with placeholders. I'm out of town this weekend but will confirm when I get back in a few days.

I'm going to book a room at the Walker House later today. The place was certainly nice enough during the DD, and the accommodations were fine for the $'s. Right in "DTMP" and the patio/beer garden was a nice gathering place.

That's fantastic news.

..... And CM, I'll do the same when we get home from our ride this afternoon.

Perhaps we can carpool.

As long as I can share a ride with someone, I.e. Robbie, I'll be there.
Mrs. Doc and I discussed this evening and no other events impede.
This should be fun!

16Victor, the guy sitting next to me at work brews beer and ran a gluten-free batch (using, I think, buckwheat?) not too long ago. Should I see if he has a bottle or two left? (My wife is gluten intolerant. I can sympathize with your plight.)
