winter project update (use your imagination)

mocked it up to make sure everything would line up. its ready to paint. now imagine orange paint, black decals, black seat post and saddle. and of course tires. i'm really looking foreword to the one. in my opinion, the best of both worlds. the great ride of steel with 10 speed components.

Looks great right now while not a big fan of orange I think it will go nicely with the black modern components to give the bike a nice modern look with a touch of 80's old shcool. Some minor detailing on the lugs would really help the nice lugged frame pop for a classey one of a kind look.

The mental picture is pleasing. But I would like it even more if you added black lines to the orange frame to create a dazzle camouflage pattern:

Sounds fantastic.

I have an orange bike and I wish it had all black components versus alloy.

Is it bright or burnt orange?

Keep the pics coming please.

Orange, like the Tagalongs. Will go nice with the black components and wheels.

Looks great. I like the idea of stencil lettering, like an ammo box, in black...."BIKE 1 EA / STEEL" on the DT.

+1 I really like the idea of some nicely stencilled one of a kind markings and details to really set off a nice bright paint job. This would give the bike a great late 80's early 90's compition racing look.

I've spent to much time on this frame to camo it. I've changed and relocated the d/t bosses and put an internal rear brake cable. I'm leaning towards bright orange, but sublime green keeps coming to mind. I'm using the correct ciocc decals. Also using a fizik saddle and bar tape. I've also thought about orange with either just a black headtube, or orange with black forks and black rear triangle. I never know till I paint. So who knows. But, no stripes, sorry.

Red or orange? I'm thinking orange, but being cheap, I have a can of red already!

I say orange, but for selfish reasons... I'm considering it for my frame and curious how it comes out

Orange is the new black.
I'm painting my next winter project orange. For a Ciocc, either orange or red is appropriate for a flamboyant Italian ride.
Hey, why not two-tone. Red base, orange fade on all the outer facing surfaces.

black lettering would look great! on the head tube, are you going to put the four suits logo decal or the old style vertical CIOCC? your frame looks about a 55-56 which is big enough for the CIOCC.

Agreed.

Not my nice bike, but I would go with the orange for sure.

It just pops.
