One set sold a while back for $6 plus shipping. Several other sets have sold recently for $10. Are you using too many search words?
There is a set of 105s right now, with only one bid ($5). I hate to ruin it for that bidder.
On the OPs topic, it shouldn't work, but right now, I have Suntour 7 speed DT shifters, running a Suntour Superbe Pro 7 speed RD, with a seven speed Shimano freewheel, and KMC Z50 chain.

I assume you are looking at anything Shimano? They made a lot of versions, all should work.

Tricky part with Cannondale is they usually use a flat adapter plate, whereas most bikes used curved ones. I have picked up flat adapter plates out of the LBS old parts bin.

If I am not mistaken, all Shimano DT 7sp SIS shifters are interchangeable, except Dura Ace. I'm sure I have a few in my bin.

Rivendell sells them for pretty cheap, you can find them with the bar end shifters. I also ground down a curved pair for use on an aluminum frame. You just have to be careful not to take too much off. Works perfect.

Are these the shifters being discussed? They work fine with the Shimano Deore derailleur and 7 speed Shimano cassette pictured.

From the earlier discussion and data-points, I would assume that your Command Shifters are a 6-speed version, and that the detent-less shift goes out past the shifter's original hi gear position, to your smallest 7s cog.
As such, it should work perfectly with no need for cable-anchoring tricks or cassette re-spacing.

A followup:
Well, at some point in the distant past, it looks like one of the four prongs on the freewheel was broken during a removal attempt. I assume I must be the guilty party (I'm the original owner, and I think I'm the only person who ever did any work on it), but I have no recollection of the attempt.
Anyway, with a proper 4-prong tool, the shop made a removal attempt this week, and another prong broke off. So, I guess that freewheel is staying on this wheel forever.
So I am still searching for a good way to lower the lowest gear ratios with a Plan B or Plan C. I'll start another thread to discuss options.

Since this thread popped up again- not that it's in the original premise- I was surprised by this:
