It nearly makes me want to cry that I couldn't make the ride. I agree that your RRA is a stunning machine.

On another note: I've been known to attend Larz Anderson bicycle show in years past. Do you think you might be heading to one in the future?

I did try once to post one of Dad's Tuckerman Ravine films; something didn't work at the time and I've not tried since then. I'll look at it again.

Indeed, some nice pics, the tunnel one esp.

I never have, but don't take that as an "I won't." Knowing the date would enable me to do some planning.

On another note, and I'm not promising as I've not even broached this with The Social Director, but for many years my parents hosted a fall ride from their house in Norwell. We've nothing like their house, but I do have Dad's secret corn-chowder recipe, and that was always a big hit. Being new here, I have no idea as to what sorts of traditions there might be in this regard.

Hopkinton has some nice roads, as long as you're not into riding on flat, level, and smooth roads. For those interested in off-road riding, we have that, too.

I was remiss in mentioning the date. This year it looks like it will be Saturday, August 9. I've been there a couple times and enjoyed myself a lot. It's a pretty nice event and the swap can result in some nice finds if you're looking for stuff. They also have some very nice antique cars in the museum.

@Ed., were glad you have joined us and I'm sorry I was unable to come to Cape Cod for the ride this past weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting you in person, seeing your collection, especially the '38 Paramount. Unfortunately events like Lars Anderson fall on Sundays and since I have a limitation on how many I have off, this makes joining in nearly impossible.

I do hope to plan and host a rail trail ride here in NH when the leaves are turning in the fall. Hope you can join us for that ride. Looks as if Hopkinton is a little more than a 100 miles from New London, so not too bad.

Perhaps it was my fault that aixaix didn't show. I lured him and His Lovely Wife to our place in/near the Catskills for a home-cooked meal, made with local vegetables and fish.
